The College of DuPage Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Gaming Club will host its annual gaming convention, “CODCON XXV: 25th Anniversary Collector’s Edition: Re-Roll!”, Friday through Sunday, April 8-10.

It will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Student Resource Center, room 2000, on the college’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd .

CODCON XXV will feature a variety of games and activities, including Dungeons and Dragons Adventure League, a Settlers of Catan qualifying tournament, live role-playing and more.

“This is our big fundraiser for the club and many popular events will carry over from previous years,” said COD English teacher and club advisor James Allen. “Events like the Tournament of Catan and others can lead to even bigger events for us, so we really want people to stretch their legs and have fun.”

College of DuPage was unable to host CODCON for two years due to COVID-19 restrictions. Previous CODCONs have drawn over 400 people to the COD campus.

For many Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Gaming Club members, this will be their first CODCON experience.

“This event is great because it’s happening here in our own region,” said club president Danielle Taylor. “It can help us create a sense of community together.”
