This month, Hotel designs focused on hotel upholstery fabrics. In order to help make the “hotel look” achievable in the house, Radisson Collection Hotel, Royal Mile Edinburgh recently launched a “Living Art” concept where guests staying in four of the hotel’s nine designer suites will be able to purchase selected items that catch their eye. The hotel is renowned for hosting remarkable rooms designed by Scottish fashion stars, interior designers and artists and, following numerous requests, has launched the initiative to help further amplify exceptional design .
The four chosen suites were curated by Scottish fashion designer Judy R Clark and Scottish lead textile designer Hatti Pattisson in each designer’s personal style, with items created in their studios. Customers who book to stay will have the option of ordering any two designer items they desire. Guests who are not staying in the chosen suites should not be missed, the two designers will have rolling display cases in the hotel or can be visited in their local studios.
Pieces of history overlooking the Royal Mile, rooms at Judy R Clark are fitted with custom antique furniture, luxurious tactile fabrics and modern amenities. Guests can relax on plush velvet armchairs, gaze out over the Writer’s Museum, and write their own correspondence on an antique desk.
Boasting some of the best views in the city, the Garden Paradise Suite and Castle Suite by Hatti Pattisson channel the city’s vibrant architecture, with bursts of floral color and oceanic undertones in the room. Its lampshades, cushions, paintings and fabrics adorn each room.
Part of the Radisson Collection, the 136-room hotel is a five-star, designer lifestyle hotel in the heart of Edinburgh Old Town, a short walk from Edinburgh Castle, Grass Market, Royal Mile , the Museum of Scotland and The Scottish National Gallery as well as the famous Princes Street and chic George Street.
