Maine Art Gallery area opens with lively reception

For the current exhibition at the Maine Art Gallery, artists Liz Hoag, Justine Lasdin-Springer, Lin Lisberger and Paige Taylor were invited to submit works depicting their interpretations of everyday scenes in the world around us. Visitors to the opening on July 16 were impressed by how the distinctive styles complemented each other.

“I was struck by the attention to detail and the care taken in hanging the show,” noted Victoria Hambly, a visitor from California. “The light and airy space enhanced the impact of the paintings.”

Surroundings until August 13. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The gallery thanks season sponsors Les Fossel Restoration and Sherri Dunbar of Tim Dunham Realty for their support, and Cromwell Coastal Properties for sponsoring our season courses.
